Looking out from hill overlooking the beach I was struck by the way the people were in silhouette against the contrast of the sand. More interestingly, I liked the balance and composition the people made, and the light and dark opposites between the upper and lower parts of the image.
My choice of black and white was made in order not to distract from the almost abstract composition and the minimum of grey tone required to complete the picture.
The image was made at Westcliff on Sea, Essex, UK.
NB. The room setting pictures are not to scale and are just intended to give some idea of what the picture looks like (could be framed or unframed) on a wall.
